Track and Manage Your Recurring Subscriptions

We All Have Them

Many of us unwittingly sign up for various monthly subscriptions or memberships and eventually forget about them. It can be months or even years before we realize we’re still being charged for services we no longer use. Even the subscriptions we know about can really add up if we're not paying attention to them. Here are a few ways to find all your recurring subscriptions and decide which ones to keep or cancel.

1. Review Your Credit Card Transactions

Download all your credit card transactions and review them for any month-over-month charges.
This can be done in just a few minutes!  Download your transactions to Excel/Google Sheets and automatically sort them by name. This way, you can see similar transactions grouped together, making it easy to quickly identify recurring charges.
Don’t forget to look for annual subscriptions as well.

2. Use Subscription Tracking Services

Consider signing up (yes, another subscription) for services that provide subscription tracking. These services will do the work for you by finding and tracking all your recurring subscriptions. They can help you identify which subscriptions you might want to cancel.

3. Utilize Built-In Features on Chase Credit Cards

If you have a Chase credit card, there’s a built-in feature you can use. Open your online banking portal and select your credit card account.  Under Account Services, choose Stored Cards. This will display any company that has your card on file and include a ‘Recurring’ tag to show you which ones are charging your card on a schedule.

By following these steps, you can take control of your subscriptions, avoid unnecessary charges, and save money. Happy tracking!
